MONTEMAYOR, J.:

The appellant Eleuterio Caña was charged in the People's Court with treason under seven counts. After trial, he was sentenced to fifteen (15) years of reclusion temporal, with the accessories of the law, to pay a fine of P5,000, plus costs.

This is relatively an old case. The reason for the delay in the determination of the appeal is that it was first received in the court and later, because of the penalty imposed by the trial court, was indorsed to the Court of Appeals which apparently had jurisdiction over it.
