The Court reverses the decision of the court of Appeals affirming the trial court's judgment of conviction of petitioner for robbery and absolves him, for the evidence of his identification as the author of the crime charged, being unreliable, does not preclude the reasonable possibility of mistake. The identity of the alleged perpetrator of a crime, like the crime itself, must be proven beyond reasonable doubt.
