Mandatory review of the death sentence imposed by the then Circuit Criminal Court of Rizal upon Renato Santos, Romeo Gutierrez, Antonio Juaningo, Alfredo Gonzales, for the slaying of Danilo Mangaliman. The decretal portion of the decision reads:
