The appellant, Rosa David Dimacali, was convicted by the Regional Trial Court of Manila of the felony of parricide, for the killing of her husband, Romeo Dimacali, and was sentenced to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua. 1

The verdict against appellant Rosa David is grounded entirely on the testimony of a single witness, Lourdes Tongcol.
