We uphold the ruling of respondent Court of Appeals that the claim or dispute herein is arbitrable. 

On 9 January 1985, United Coconut Chemicals, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as SHIPPER) shipped 404.774 metric tons of distilled C6-C18 fatty acid on board MT "Stolt Sceptre," a tanker owned by Stolt-Nielsen Philippines Inc.
