CRUZ, J.:

It is sad when brother is pitted against brother in a bitter controversy over property left them by a common forebear. The ancestor must be turning in his grave to see that the bonds of blood that used to unite his children have turned into a rope of sand.

The deceased father in this case was Regino Favor, who left three sons and several parcels of land in his name. Before the property could be divided among the three brothers, one of them died with neither wife nor children.
Only the surviving brothers, Gregorio and Prudencio (or Florencio), are involved in this litigation.
