This action was commenced on the 28th day of December, 1906, in the Court of Land Registration. The petitioner asked that five parcels of land particularly described in the first paragraph of his complaint, all located within the jurisdiction of the pueblo of Davao, on the Island of Mindanao, be registered under the Torrens system. The petitioner alleged that if the court should find that he was not entitled to have said parcels of land registered by reason of ownership, that the same should be registered in his name in accordance with the provisions of chapter 6 of Act No. 926.
