Accused-appellants interposed the present appeal from the judgment of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 164 in Pasig, Metro Manila, finding them guilty of the crime of murder and imposing on them "the penalty of reclusion perpetua; and to reimbursethe funeral expenses incurred by Miguela B. Abad, the mother of the victim, in the amount of P13,000.00; and to indemnify the heirs of the victim in the amount of P30,000.00 pro indiviso."[1]
