CRUZ, J.:

The herein petitioners' basic contention is that as their alleged co-conspirators have been acquitted by the Court of Appeals, they too should have been absolved by the Sandiganbayan under the doctrine of "the law of the case."
They also submit that, in any event, the evidence against them was insufficient to prove their guilt and, on that ground, they should have also been presumed innocent and acquitted.
