The virtual diaspora of our countrymen seeking employment in foreign lands, due to the economic travails of the country these past years, will hereafter be recounted with admiration and sympathy for their intrepidity and self-abnegation. It has, in fact, given rise to a new breed of humble economic heroes, the overseas contract workers, who have breasted all hazards for hearth and family.
