On May 15, 1986, private respondent David Empeynado was employed as a general utility man by petitioners in their business of trading copra and charcoal with a daily wage of P35.00. Private respondent's work consisted of weighing copra or charcoal, bagging copra for loading and ascertaining the moisture content thereof.
