Accused-appellant, Edgardo (Egay) Ebrada, appeals from a judgment in Criminal Case No. 374 of the Regional Trial Court of Makati, Branch 136, which imposed upon him the penalty of reclusion perpetua for the murder of Lolito Magbanua, Jr.[1]

The accusatory portion of the information, under which appellant was tried, alleges as follows:
