What crime or crimes are committed when a killing is perpetrated with the use of unlicensed firearms? In the absence of the firearms themselves, may illegal possession of firearms be proven by parol evidence?

The Case

Appellants Felicisimo Narvasa and Jimmy Orania seek the reversal of the October 11, 1996 Decision1 [Written by Judge Jules A. Mejia.] of the Regional Trial Court of Alaminos, Pangasinan, in Criminal Case Nos. 2629-A, 2648-A and 2646-A, finding them guilty beyond reasonable doubt of illegal possession of firearms in its aggravated form and sentencing them to reclusion perpetua.
