Accused-appellant Romy Sagun alias Pokpok assails the decision1 [Rollo, pp. 21-32.] dated April 23, 1993, of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 32,2 [Judge Carlos T. Aggabao, presiding.] of Cabarroguis, Quirino, in Criminal Case No. 891, finding him guilty of the crime of rape, and sentencing him to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua, and to pay private complainant the amount of P50,000.00 as damages without subsidiary imprisonment.
