By contract effective from August 1, 1912, the corporate firm of E.C. McCullough & Co., of the first part, employed four individuals, of whom H.L. Kriedt was one, to operate a printing plant owned by the company and conducted by it in connection with a mercantile establishment in the city of Manila. The contract provided that the printing business in question should be conducted under the supervision of E.C. McCullough & Co., and it was contemplated that the contract should continue in force for the term of five years.
