MENDOZA, J.:

This is an appeal from the decision,[1] dated February 26, 1992, of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 74, Antipolo, Rizal, insofar as it finds accused-appellant Ramil Samolde guilty of the crime of murder and sentences him to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua and to pay the amount of P50,000.00 as civil indemnity for the death of Feliciano Nepomuceno.

The facts are as follows:
