This is an appeal from the joint Decision[1] dated July 21, 1995, of the Regional Trial Court of Batac, Ilocos Norte, Branch 18,[2] in Criminal Case No. 2547-18, for robbery with homicide; Criminal Case Nos. 2548-18 and 2549-18, both for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition in violation of Presidential Decree No. 1866; finding accused-appellants, Sales Sabadao and Vidal Valdez guilty beyond reasonable doubt of robbery with homicide and illegal possession of firearm; and sentencing each of them to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua and to pay, solidarily, the heirs of Romeo Aganon and Pfc.
