BUENA, J.:

This is an appeal from the joint decision[1] dated March 28, 1995, of the Regional Trial Court of Davao City, Branch 16,[2] finding accused-appellants, Edwin Yungot and Rommel Magpatoc guilty of two counts of murder and imposing upon them two terms of reclusion perpetua. Accused-appellants were ordered to reimburse the heirs of the victims, Jernie Sumagaysay and Oscar Celis, of actual expenses, and to pay compensatory and moral damages, and costs.[3]
