In this appeal the question submitted to this Supreme Court relates to the validity of a contract of sale of land with the right of repurchase, the vendors continuing in possession of the land as lessees during the period fixed for repurchase.

The appellant, who is the vendee in this contract, presented in the justice of the peace court of Santa Cruz, Laguna, about the month of November, 1916, a complaint of unlawful entry and detainer against the vendors on the ground of failure to pay rent.
