CALLEJO, SR., J.:

Before the Court is an appeal from the Decision[1] rendered by the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 18, convicting accused-appellant Salvador de la Cruz of Murder and imposing on him the penalty of reclusion perpetua, with all the accessory penalties provided for by law, for the death of Florencio Antonio and to pay the heirs of the victim the sum of P50,000.00 as moral damages, and the amount of P50,000.00 as civil indemnity.
