This is an appeal from the Decision[1] dated February 9, 2001 of the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 27, in Criminal Case No. 97-161141, finding Conde Rapisora y Estrada guilty beyond reasonable doubt of rape and meting on him the penalty of reclusion perpetua. In addition, he was ordered to pay the victim the amounts of P50,000 as indemnity and P50,000 as moral damages.
