Petitioners' loss of employment is not disputed. The bone of contention in this case is whether or not such loss was for just cause.

Petitioners were eight of the 92 workers assigned at the Weaving Department or Finishing Department of Polytex Design, Inc. (Polytex). On April 26, 1999, the building where they worked was gutted by fire, leaving nothing but rubble, resulting in cessation of work.
