For review is the Decision[1] dated February 28, 2005 of the Court of Appeals (CA) in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 00634 which affirmed the Consolidated Decision[2] dated July 28, 2000 of Branch 272, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Marikina City, convicting accused-appellant Jaime Cadag Jimenez of two counts of the crime of Rape defined and penalized under Article 335 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, sentencing him to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua and ordering him to pay the victim the amounts of P50,000.00 as civil indemnity and another P50,000.00 as moral damages on each count.
