In this petition for review under Rule 45 of the Rules of Court, the Republic of the Philippines, through the Office of the Solicitor General, assails the March 30, 2006 Decision[1] and the November 20, 2006 Resolution,[2] both of the Court of Appeals, in CA-G.R. CV No. 80500. The assailed decision reversed and set aside the July 10, 2003 judgment[3] of the Regional Trial Court of Las Piñas City, Branch 199 in LRC Case No. 02-0036, one for original registration of title, whereas the assailed Resolution denied reconsideration.
