Challenged in these consolidated petitions for review is the October 1, 2003 Amended Decision[1] of the Court of Appeals (CA), in CA-G.R. SP No. 73161, which modified the Resolution[2] of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), by ordering the immediate reinstatement of all the suspended employees of Automotive Engine Rebuilders, Inc. (AER) without backwages.
