This is a petition for certiorari under Rule 65 in relation to Rule 64 of the Rules of Court, filed to challenge the January 12, 2015 per curiam order of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC/The Commission) en banc in SPA No. 13-254 (DC).[1] The Commission granted the petition to disqualify the petitioner Exequiel Javier and to annul his proclamation as the duly elected governor of Antique.
