About seventy years ago, three brothers by the name of Rogers composed a firm in Connecticut under the name and style of Rogers Bros., which was the first to apply the art of electro-plating to the manufacture of silver-plated ware in the United States, and it soon acquired a high reputation for the sterling quality of its wares. In 1865 a corporation was organized by Wm. Rogers, one of the brothers, known as the Wm. Rogers Manufacturing Company, and after 1872 it engaged in the manufacturing and selling of silver-plated ware and continued to use the trade-marks on its goods adopted in 1866, to wit, "1865 Wm....
