The right to confront and cross-examine an adverse witness is a basic fundamental constitutional right. However, this is personal to the accused, who can waive the right.
 
This resolves the Petition for Review on Certiorari[1] assailing the October 7, 2011 Decision[2] and February 20, 2012 Resolution[3] of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. SP No. 113152.
