A corporation, whether with or without an original charter, is under the audit jurisdiction of the Commission on Audit so long as the government owns or has controlling interest in it.

This resolves the Petition[1] under Rule 64 of the Rules of Court filed by Adelaido Oriondo, Teodoro M. Hernandez, Renato L. Basco, Carmen, Merino, and Reynaldo Salvador, former officers of the Philippine Tourism Authority who had received honoraria and cash gifts for concurrently rendering services to Corregidor Foundation, Inc.
