It is a settled rule that "issues raised for the first time on appeal will not be entertained because to do so would be anathema to the rudiments of fairness and due process."[1] In the interest of justice, however, the Court may consider and resolve issues not raised before the trial court if it is necessary for the complete adjudication of the rights and obligations of the parties.[2]
