Republic Act No. 11054[1] (the Organic Law) was enacted to determine the territory of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Additionally, beyond territorial jurisdiction, the Organic Law was also passed in order to: (1) secure the Bangsamoro people's identity, along with all of the indigenous cultural communities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region; and (2) to identify the people who desire to be included in it.
The establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao gives the Commission on Elections the power to enforce and administer all laws and regulations...
