In 1935, plaintiff Manila Electric Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the Philippines, with its principal office and place of business in the City of Manila, insured with the City of New York Insurance Company and the United States Guaranty Company, certain real and personal properties situated in the Philippines. The insurance was entered into in behalf of said plaintiff by its broker in New York City.
