On September 22, 1938, by means of a deed of sale (Exhibit A), Tomas Castro conveyed lot No. 9318, with a t house thereon, situated in the municipality of Laoag, Ilocos Norte, for the sum of P5,500 to Alejandro Andres and Herminia Pichay, with a clause to the effect that the vendor reserved the right to redeem the property by paying back the sales price in not less than four years and not more than six years after the expiration of said period of four years.
