Convicted of murder for the killing of Alexander Almendras and sentenced to suffer an indeterminate prison term of from twelve years and one day of reclusion temporal as minimum to twenty years of reclusion temporal as maximum, to indemnify the heirs of the offended party in the sum of three thousand pesos (P3,000.00), and to pay one- sixth of the costs, Elmer Estrada, nicknamed Baby, appealed from the decision to the Court of Appeals.
