Involved in this case ins an attempt by a daughter to claim her share in her father's estate some sixty-three years after the latter's demise. The father, Andrew Arroyo, died sometime in 1901. He left an estate apparently of no mean size, compromised of properties located mainly in Iloilo and Negros Occidental. He was survived by three compulsory heirs: Felix Arroyo, a legitimate son by his first wife, and Filomena Arroyo and Simplicio Arroyo, legitimate children by his second wife.
