PARAS, J.:

Accused-appellants Elanito Quijano, Danilo Lapinid, Edgar Gonzales and Edwin Layog appeal from the decision of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 16 at Cebu City finding them guilty beyond reasonable doubt as co-principals of the crime of murder and sentencing them to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua.

The information indicting them for murder states:

"That on the 16th day of September 1986 at about 11:00 o'clock in the evening at Sitio Tal-ot, Barangay Valencia, Municipality of Carcar, Province of Cebu, Philippines, and within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, the above-named accused,...
