This action was brought to recover damages for an alleged wrongful discharge of the plaintiff, who had been employed by the defendant for an indefinite time to work in the latter's industrial enterprises in the city of Manila. The defendant admitted that he discharged the plaintiff without giving him the "written advice of six months in advance" as provided in the contract, but alleged that the discharge was lawful on account of absence, unfaithfulness, and disobedience of orders.
