Two accused brothers, Alejandro and Romeo Abina, were convicted of the crime of murder in a decision, dated 06 February 1990, rendered by the Regional Trial Court of Palo, Leyte, Branch 8, and each indictee was sentenced to suffer the indeterminate penalty of imprisonment from ten (10) years and one (1) day of prision mayor, as minimum, to eighteen (18) years, eight (8) months and one (1) day of reclusion temporal, as maximum, for the killing of Eulalio Pelino (Peleño).
