PANGANIBAN, J.:

In rejecting this appeal, the Court reiterates the well-entrenched rule that the factual findings of trial courts are entitled to great respect and will not be disturbed unless they plainly overlooked or neglected material evidence which, if considered, will affect the disposition of the case.

The Case

Before us is an appeal from the October 6, 1999 Decision[1] of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Malolos, Bulacan (Branch 82) in Criminal Case No. 16-M-95, convicting Dionisio Felipe and Ma. Lourdes Felipe of murder and sentencing them to reclusion perpetua.
