CHICO-NAZARIO, J.: 

This is an appeal by certiorari from the Decision[1] dated 10 April 2001 of the Court of Appeals in CA-GR CV No. 62854, reversing the Decision of the Regional Trial Court of San Pablo City, Laguna, Branch 30, in Civil Case No. SP-4270 for recovery of possession with damages which ordered respondent National Irrigation Administration (NIA) to pay petitioners P100,000 with legal interest for its use of the land. Likewise assailed is the Resolution[2] dated 15 June 2001 denying petitioners' motion for reconsideration.
