This is an appeal from the May 30, 2006 Decision[1] of the Court of Appeals (CA) in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 00906. The CA affirmed the May 8, 1997 Decision[2] of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 18, Albay, finding appellant Renato Bracia (appellant) guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of murder and sentencing him to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua.
