NACHURA, J.:

Incestuous rape, especially one committed by a father against his own daughter, is a dastardly and repulsive crime that has no place in our society,[1] and, time and again, has been condemned by this Court. This case is no different.

On appeal is the April 30, 2008 Decision[2] of the Court of Appeals (CA) in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 02722, which affirmed with modifications the January 12, 2007 decision[3] of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Sorsogon, Branch 65, in Criminal Case No. 05-722, finding appellant Anacito Dimanawa (appellant) guilty beyond reasonable doubt of rape, and sentencing him to suffer the penalty of...
