Circumstantial evidence is admissible as proof to establish both the commission of a crime and the identity of the culprit.

 

Under review is the conviction of Edmundo Villaflores for rape with homicide by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 128, in Caloocan City based on circumstantial evidence. The Court of Appeals (CA) affirmed the conviction with modification on February 22, 2007.[1]
