This is an appeal from a Decision1 dated January 27, 2011 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR.-H.C. No. 01492, entitled People of the Philippines v. Dalton Laurian, Jr. y Pugsot, which affirmed the Decision2 dated April 15, 2005 of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of La Trinidad, Benguet, Branch 9 in Criminal Case No. 02-CR-4443. The trial court convicted appellant Dalton P. Laurian, Jr. of one (1) count of rape defined under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code.
