The law enforcement agents who conduct buy-bust operations against persons suspected of drug trafficking in violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (RA No. 9165), otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, should comply with the statutory requirements for preserving the chain of custody of the seized evidence.
